Bidder Preview Day commenced as the gates opened for Day Two of Barrett-Jackson’s 2023 Scottsdale Auction at WestWorld. Bidders looking to take home the car of their dreams joined other car enthusiasts from around the country to browse the vast auction site, eager to view what The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions has to offer.
In addition to the many exciting auction vehicles, the vast exhibitor marketplace showcased everything from clothes and car products to home furnishings and custom artwork. Those seeking a burst of adrenaline took a spin around the Barrett-Jackson Performance Track with the Dodge and Toyota Thrill Rides, enjoyed an all-terrain adventure with the RAM Off-Road Experience and Toyota TRD Pro Dirt Ride, or got behind the wheel of a Lucid Aire or Volkswagen ID.4 for an off-site driving experience. Other attractions included the Monster Energy BMX Show presented by Coca-Cola and live music at Billy’s Tequila Music Stage.
Sunday’s activities put the 2023 Future Collector Car Show presented by Meguiar’s in the spotlight. Held on the Polo Field, the show featured over 100 future collectibles, but ultimately it was a 2002 Honda S2000 that earned the Best of Show title. Among the judges at the event was renowned automotive photographer Larry Chen, TV personality Bogi Lateiner and YouTuber TJ Hunt. Barrett-Jackson Chairman/CEO Craig Jackson and City of Scottsdale Mayor David Ortega were on hand to welcome participants and congratulate the winners.
Continuing its tradition of blending automotive culture with the world of fashion, FCCS at Barrett-Jackson hosted a fashion show produced by Luxe and City. The winning stylist, Lamark Cole, received a $1,000 cash prize in addition to a complimentary showcase at Arizona Fashion Week later this year, and also will be able to judge Collection of the Year during that event.
The day concluded with the Opening Night Gala, an annual celebration that starts the Arizona event season and signifies the beginning of Barrett-Jackson’s auction week. The Gala, a renowned ultimate automotive lifestyle event, featured over 50 airmen and women in a salute to Arizona’s Luke Airforce Base and presenting of colors, as well as acclaimed live entertainment from Emerald City Band and DJ Munition, gourmet food and signature cocktails.
