To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Porsche Club of America in 2016, Porsche manufactured 60 special 911 GTS Club Coupes to go to 60 fortunate PCA members. Making these rare 911s stand out is the unique Club Blau paint and a vintage-styled ducktail rear spoiler.
While these special edition 911s were originally meant for PCA members, you now have a chance to get your hands on one as AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, has one up for auction.
This 2016 911 GTS Club Coupe wears SportDesign side mirrors, black-framed Bi-Xenon headlights with a headlight cleaning system, LED daytime running lamps, a sport exhaust system with black gloss-finished quad tailpipes and “Club Coupe” emblems found on the doors.
The Club Coupe rides on aluminum 5-spoke 20-inch Sport Classic wheels with black inlays and wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 245/35 tires up front and 305/30 in the rear.
Porsche Active Suspension Management is used for optimized handling with featuring a MacPherson strut front end and a multi-link rear end with anti-roll bard both front and rear.
The GTS-equipped interior houses black leather 18-way adjustable power bucket seats contrasted with Carmine Red stitching. It’s outfitted with a model-specific Sport Design steering wheel, a passenger footwell luggage net, carbon fiber overlays and “GTS Club Coupe 60 Years Porsche Club of America” lettering on the dashboard.
Technological amenities include a Porsche Communication Management system with a 7-inch touch-screen navigation system with voice control, a nine-speaker Burmester 235-watt audio system, cruise control, Park Assist with a backup camera and a power-operated tilt/sliding sunroof.
Power comes from a 3.8-liter horizontally opposed 6-cylinder aluminum engine featuring direct fuel injection, integrated dry-sump lubrication, and VarioCam Plus intake-valve timing.
“This powertrain carried a factory rating of 430 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque, and power is directed to the rear wheels via a 7-speed manual transmission and dual-mass flywheel,” AutoHunter notes in the Porsche’s listing.
The odometer shows 12,792 miles, which is a true reading supported by the CARFAX report.
