Barrett-Jackson’s flagship Scottsdale Auction opened its gates Saturday to car enthusiasts young and old for QuikTrip Family Day. This first Saturday also served as a Preview Day for prospective bidders and fans to get an up-close look at what’s headed across the block in just a few days.
The famous 70-plus-acre site at WestWorld, redesigned to encourage physical distancing, still has the look and feel of Scottsdale Auctions past. Whether indoors or out, attendees enjoyed checking out over 200 sponsor and exhibitor displays, more than 1,000 auction vehicles and over 1,100 pieces of nostalgic automobilia. Those needing a burst of adrenaline took a spin around the Barrett-Jackson Performance Track with a professional driver at the Dodge Thrill Rides or checked out the all-terrain prowess of the 2021 Ram TRX truck at the all-new Off-Road Experience.
An extra treat for guests Saturday was viewing the 50 contenders for the coveted Barrett-Jackson Cup – incredible custom builds on display in all their gleaming glory in the auction arena through Monday, when, after a parade across the auction stage, the field will be narrowed to the Top 5.
The fantastic Arizona spring day proved to be the perfect setting for those enjoying the many outdoor dining options, as well as live music at the Baja Billy Tequila Oasis.
