Great things are worth waiting for – and for the 2021 Scottsdale Auction, Barrett-Jackson is delivering a docket that will make the wait well worthwhile! Our successful 2020 Fall Auction set the tone and showed everyone we could come back in a safe manner. I can’t thank our customers and sponsors enough for their support as we navigated these new waters, and everyone who attended for wearing their masks and following the physical distancing recommendations that were in place. It was so great to see everyone again, enjoying themselves safely.
After listening to feedback from our customers, we moved our Scottsdale Auction to March, and it proved to be a sensible move in many aspects. So many people have come forward with great cars and great enthusiasm, we absolutely can’t wait to share it with you all. We’re even taking it to the next level in terms of sanitation at the auction site, using the latest in drone technology!
We’re honored to have our friends at Toyota coming on board once again as Presenting Sponsor of our flagship auction, where the lineup of amazing cars is just astounding. The offering is headlined by three incredible collections, the greatest selection of Shelbys we’ve ever sold – starring Carroll Shelby’s one-and-only Cobra 427 Super Snake, as well as the Triple-Crown-winning 1965 GT350 – an outstanding 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4, and two fine cars from the personal collection of Edsel B. Ford II. In a first for the collector car auction industry, a record-breaking number of VIN 001 and first-production vehicles from America’s top automakers will be crossing the block for some very worthy causes.
So get ready for one wild ride! If you can’t be here in person, be sure to tune in to the live broadcast provided by our new TV partners, FYI and HISTORY, as well as on Discovery Velocity in Canada. Another great option is to watch all the action on our ramped-up commercial-free live stream. It is easily accessed on any computer, mobile device or smart TV via our website – just click “Watch Live Now” at the top right of the home page of Barrett-Jackson.com when the auction is live. Covering every moment of the auction – including automobilia and collector cars – it’s now as high-quality as the linear broadcast.
A love for cars transcends generations – it doesn’t go away. We’re going to keep going forward because the passion is there. Passion and love and camaraderie are what’s different about Barrett-Jackson – it’s much more than just a standard commodity trading hands by clicking a mouse. Whether you are at an auction in person or watching on television or our live stream, our goal is to bring you into the exciting action of the event, educate new generations about collector cars and keep that passion alive – that’s what Barrett-Jackson’s about.
Without a doubt, the Scottsdale event will look a little different this year, but I know that all of us together will continue to enjoy and celebrate our common bond — a passion for collector cars.
See you March 20-27!
