One of the most attractive aspects of the Audi RS6 Avant is its practicality. There are a lot of fast sedans but the Audi RS6 combines that speed with impressive practicality and stunning good looks, ultimately making it a true one-car-fits-all type vehicle. So what’s it actually like to live with the RS6?
We already saw Insider’s Kristen Lee sleep in the back of the RS6, proving that it has enough cargo space to be an impromptu camper. But what’s it like as an actual everyday car?
This new video from Car Throttle sort of shows that off. Mostly, it shows that the Audi RS6 Avant is quick, which we already knew. Still, it’s impressive to see CT’s Alex pull the ole Carol Shelby trick; putting something on the dashboard and telling the passenger to try and grab it while accelerating. Ethan in the passenger seat was able to grab it but it was much harder than he had expected.
Then Alex straps a kayak to the roof and goes kayaking in a pond, proving that it can, well, hold a kayak on its roof. But, then again, so can a Toyota Corolla. Still, the Audi RS6 Avant is a practical thing because it can hold much more than a kayak on the roof, especially with the right attachments.
Overall, the RS6 is among the very best do-it-all cars on the market. The only other car we’d say can match the RS6 for its blend of power, performance, handling, comfort, and practicality is the Mercedes-AMG E63 S Wagon (I know, don’t kill me). But the Audi RS6 Avant is probably the best looking wagon on the market, so that helps make it a bit more attractive. Sure, it’s expensive but you’re getting a ton of car for the money, so it’s likely worth it.
