Without question, the most exciting car on Audi’s horizon is the upcoming e-tron GT, which is going to be the brand’s first all-electric performance car. When Audi first debuted the e-tron GT Concept in 2018, it stunned the world with its breathtaking design and promise of impressive performance. Thankfully, the time to see the official car is almost here and, even more exciting, it’s going to look just like the gorgeous concept car it’s based on.

The Audi e-tron GT will make its official worldwide debut on February 9 and it’s easily our most highly anticipated car of the last couple of years.

When it officially debuts, we will see a shift in Audi’s approach to performance cars. The Audi e-tron GT will be a 500-plus horsepower all-electric GT car, based on the same chassis and powertrain as the Porsche Taycan. According to Audi design boss Marc Lichte, the e-tron GT will be a proper GT car, in the classic sense of the term.

“The e-tron GT is a gran turismo. This term originally stood for sports cars that were suited for long-distance races. GT models thus differ from pure sports cars in that they offer greater comfort and a larger interior.”

Lichte is particularly proud of the e-tron GT and how it turned out, claiming it to be the “most beautiful car” he’s ever penned. Of that, we have no doubt.

In this new photo gallery below, you can see a camouflaged e-tron GT doing some testing in the snow and, even with its camo, it looks fantastic. It’s sleek, sporty, muscular, aggressive and elegant. What’s also fascinating about its design is that it looks almost identical to the concept car. In fact, looking at the test mule in these photos and it’s easy to forget that you’re not looking at the concept. It may be the most true-to-concept production car we’ve ever seen.

We’ll get to officially see the Audi e-tron GT on February 9 and it’s going to change the face of Audi forever.
