Back in the early ’00s, Audi Sport North America was doing quite well in the American Le Mans racing series. To commemorate such success, the Audi TT Le Mans Series Commemorative Edition was made and sold in very limited numbers. Only 1,000 of these Avus Silver over red leather special edition Audi TTs were made and one of them is for sale on Bring-a-Trailer.

Not only is this Audi TT Le Mans Series a special car but it’s also the best spec of the Mk1 TT. It packs a 1.8 liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 225 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque. That punchy four-pot is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox and sends power to all four wheels.

This specific car is also in fantastic condition, with just 86,000 miles on the clock. The very Eddie Murphy in Delirious-esque interior looks to be in great shape, with no major signs of wear. It’s also had quite a lot of work and maintenance done to it to keep it tip-top.

The Mk1 Audi TT is a car that’s starting to have a bit of a resurgence, with enthusiasts finally realizing just how good of a car it really is. It still looks great, and this TT Le Mans car is one of the best looking versions of it with its USP wheels, and it’s actually getting better looking with age.

At the time of writing this, there are still five days left on the auction and the bid is up to $5,000. That’s a bit high for a regular TT but it’s not too much for a special edition, limited-run TT with less than 100,000 miles. With Mk1 TT prices likely to continue gong up in the future, due to their sudden rise in desirability, this could be a wise investment thanks to its limited nature.
