The Audi A3 Sportback often gets a bad rep for being just a gussied-up Volkswagen Golf. Sure, under the skin it’s very similar to a Golf. Having said that, Audi does have its own tweaks that make it drive differently, more comfortably and a bit more luxuriously. Also, the Golf is a great driving car, so it’s not a bad place to start. However, the most important improvement made to the A3, over its VW sibling, is its style. Especially in the right color.

Both inside and out, the Audi A3 Sportback is a great looking hatchback, with far more style than any other hatchback in the segment. In this new video from Auditography, we get to see an A3 Sportback in the stunning shade of Python Yellow, with an S-Line package and a Black Optics package. So it’s about as cool looking as an A3 Sportback is going to get.

What’s so special about this car is that it’s so stylish and looks so good, yet it’s just a humble A3 35 TFSI, with 150 horsepower and front-wheel drive. There’s nothing dynamically special about this specific A3, yet it’s just so cool. That means that you can buy an inexpensive, fuel-efficient Audi hatchback for your city commute and still have it stand out among the crowd. It must feel awesome, walking up to that bright yellow Audi A3 Sportback every morning, it has to brighten the owner’s day.

Inside, it also looks incredibly premium, although that’s not specific to this car. All new A3s look great on the inside and have cabins that far out-class their price point. The center stack is all new and the Touch Response MMI screen looks and feels far more expensive than you’d expect from an A3. It also gets Audi’s latest Virtual Cockpit and some stellar seats.

So you might just own a humble A3 hatch, but it’s a damn cool car, especially if you get it in a great color like Python Yellow.
